Description
Based upon the double beam design, with one optical path always aligned to the top of the specimen while the second focused on sample lower end correcting for any thermal-profile related drift, the contact-less Vertical Optical Dilatometer Misura® 3 ODHT allows to carry out measurements of dimensional changes up to 15% in expansion and down to 50% in shrinkage of the original dimensions. It enables to precisely study materials’ expansion, sintering or bloating and analyzes the sample behaviour throughout the entire industrial firing cycle up to a maximum temperature of 1650 °C with heating rates up to 80 °C/min.
